PDL stands for the Hewlett-Packard Program Development Link. a PC program
that helps with HP 48S[X] program development and memory management.
Among PDL's features are:

  o An integrated "HP 48-smart" editor for entering and editing HP 48
    object text

  o Transfer commands for sending your work to or getting it from the HP 48

  o An Immediate window for working with the HP 48 interactively from the
    PC

  o A built-in hyperlinked Help system containing the HP 48 Programmers
    Reference and PDL help

  o And more...all in a text-based windows environment
