On the S800, the C compiler has ANSI support, optimization, and debug (xdb) support at HP-UX 7.0. My release notes for 8.0 indicate that all of these things are going away in the standard compiler. Since I have been using the full capabilities of the C compiler for the S800 since HP-UX 1.0, who is going to pay for this new ANSI C compiler that they are offering it 8.0? Am I going to have to pay for a new compiler just to debug programs? -- Bill Gaines ARPA: bill@IndComp.com Industrial Computer Corp. UUCP: ...!{gatech,emory}!iccdev!bill
