I realise this is probably a comp.databases question but having seen
no Hp/Allbase activity there I thought that I would try here . Would
anyone like to fill me in with their experiences to date with Hp
Allbase on Xl and Ux . Areas of interest are 

the query optimiser (of course) 
sizing/placement strategies
shared memory and sizing of the various buffers
experiences of anyone porting their Image applications 
 
I am very experienced in Interbase,Rdb/Vms,Dg/Sql and Oracle and would
appreciate any parallels you can draw either good or bad for Allbase.
