Hello again,
     My brother is in need of assistance regarding some things he
needs to do with DBase III+, and I'm hoping some charitable Netters
might be able to help...he has two problems:
(1) What is the easiest way (if there is one) to set up a field which
will automatically contain the result of an operation on two other
fields? (e.g., fields 1 and 2 act as if they contained variables, and
an operation is performed to yield the value in field 3 for each
record, such as figuring out interest accrued given a starting amount
and a date).
(2) My brother has been trying to copy to a delimited file for
conversion to Wordperfect merge format, and is having trouble with the
"date" data type -- is there a way to get the date to print to the
file in a *readable* format? (e.g., to read as April 15, 1991 or even 
4/15/91 instead of 19910415, as it does presently).
     Any help will be appreciated, but please e-mail, as I don't have
the time presently to read newsgroups. My brother and I thank you! 8-)
