Summary: Has anyone experienced a problem with new step C196? Keywords: 80C196 Message-ID: <1204@cthulhuControl.COM> Date: 16 Apr 91 15:37:37 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: Control Technology Corp., Hopkinton MA Lines: 18 80C196KC processors in an existing application, and can't seem to get info from the folks at Intel. Has anyone else run into this?: I'm using port 2.5 as a general purpose output pin, but occasionally the CPU seems to turn on the PWM function which shares this pin, causing the pin to adopt a low state. Using a diagnostic firmware pass, an instruction explicitly turning OFF the PWM function cures the problem (after it has occurred!). This only happens with the newer date codes, and the repeatability varies from part to part. Any insight will be appreciated, as we are now contemplating an extensive ECO to work around this problem. Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ken Crater ken@control.com Control Technology Corporation (508) 435-9595 Hopkinton, MA
