It includes new IIx-type ROMS as well as a new SWIM (floppy controller) chip. This is required to USE the "new" FDHD SuperDrive drives. However, you must then buy the FDHD DRIVE itself. The ROM upgrade doesn't make your 800K drive able to read/write the 1.4M format, it just enables you to use the type drives that can!
