PRAM problem? Message-ID: <1991Apr17.192903.356@max.physics.sunysb.edu> Date: 17 Apr 91 19:29:03 GMT Reply-To: siegel@max.physics.sunysb.edu (Warren Siegel) Distribution: usa Organization: Institute for Theoretical Physics, SUNY at Stony Brook Lines: 10 My Mac + has a problem that looks like a bad connection to my battery or PRAM. Once every few days or so, I start it up and it's lost the following settings: time, date, speaker volume, initial map setting, mouse tracking speed. I replaced the battery: no change. I know nothing about hardware, and the electronics people here know nothing about Macs. I don't subscribe to this newsgroup (that's why I know nothing about hardware :-) ), so please e-mail. (Also, I'm too cheap to buy the manual. Besides, if I did, I would know something about hardware; see above.) If there is general interest, I'll summarize. If this is a FAQ, I won't. Thanks a lot.
