With virtual memory and faster machines (IIfx) it seems to me that the speed of the HD is getting more and more important. Now I'm using an Apple 80MB internal HD with Quantum mechanism. So, I would like to know if any of you have some data on the speed of different HDs, especially compared to the Apple 80MB internal. What I read in the adertisements are confusing. Here are some of the HDs I think many of us are interested in; Quantum, SyQuest, Seagate, Maxtor, WREN, HP, Fujitsu, etc.. -Per (pers@ifi.uio.no)
