Unsetting the inited bit dosen't cause the finder to change the ico n, it only works if I rebuild the desktop. What am I doing wrong? 2) Pasting in PICTs into the get info of a folder to make custom icons is nice, but I want to set them with resedit so that the entire icon family is correct. S o I edit the Icon file in the folder. Again, how can I make the finder recognize the new icon? 3) Sometimes, often when I have been typing fast for a long time when events are not available (ie a term program when the text is scrolling fast) I hear a high pitched "beep" similar to an [IBM :( yuch] when the keyboard buffer is full. Th en whenever ADB messages are generated (that is, key down or key up) a 'click' s oun is generated (the ctb$ keyboard click?) and the keydown events are not gener ated. I tried to reset the ADB port, using robert polic's ADBProbe reset button but then it just crashed at $004????? which is a rom address, I think. 4) under MPW, sometimes the help and process menus change their titles from an i con to a missing-char symbol. Then when they are opened, the contents are really strange. This happens after several addMenus BTW. Thanx in advance. --mr ball, Steven Loomis, Inf.
