        I have been trying to use the serial ports, but I am having a lot
of trouble with sending and receiving data.  I  am trying to connect a 
Visual Display Unit thru the Serial Port, but it does seem to be responding
I can send 2 bytes of data to ring a bell in the Visual Display Unit but
it does not seem to be doing anything else.
        I have checked the cables, and tried everything I can think of!
                    Has anyone done a similar thing?
                                      I would appreciate any help.
