This came in parts, so it's not a prepackaged deal. Well, the format and BuildDisk went peachy fine. Sounded like the Battle of the Bulge, since I have a Fujitsu 340M... But, when we went to make sure it could boot off of that disk, it didn't. So we read the directions. It mentioned taking out two jumper shunts on CH9 (CN9?), dealing with synchronous transfer and some sort of reply thing. (1-2 and 15-16). So we tried that. Different error, but it still didn't work. Anybody have any clues as to why this isn't working? I read the FAQ, and it mentioned that the NeXT SCSI bus does not support syncronous SCSI transfers, so I put that jumper back in. I also tried that one off but the other one in, so I tried all four combinations and it still wouldn't boot. Please Email reply to matthews@lewhoosh.umd.edu and/or aspinwam@wam.umd.edu; I'm somewhat behind on this newsgroup with no free time in sight to catch up. ------ Mike Matthews, matthews@lewhoosh.umd.edu (NeXT)/matthews@umdd (bitnet) ------ "I may kid around about drugs, but really, I take them seriously." - Doctor Graper
