Since I've received several queries, I thought I'd better clarify my
previous posting.  When I said /etc/hosts, I really meant the netinfo
database.  For your mouse to work, your host name (as printed by
"hostname") must be listed in the hosts portion of your netinfo
database.  Furthermore, if there are multiple names on the line, you
may need to have your host's "official" name be the first one listed.

For example, here's the relevant line from *my* netinfo database:

	127.0.0.1 	desint localhost
