You can import a PICT file as a template, but it is to be used only as a model below Illustrator's actual drawing layer. You have draw your Illustrator picture using the underlying PICT (or bitmap) picture as model; there is an autotrace tool, but it does not always give as good results as you might want. To see what the picture will look like when printed, use the command Preview Illistration, and if you have placed EPS files, you should check the proper box in Save As. If Igor does not export EPS pictures, you might do better by using bringing your PICT graphics into the Pictures window in Textures or saving it as a PICT file (I guess this latter works with OzTeX 1.4, too).
