Message-ID: <9104171747.aa08494@concour.cs.concordia.ca> Sender: daemon@athena.mit.edu (Mr Background) Organization: The Internet Date: 17 Apr 91 21:47:02 GMT Lines: 31 I have built X11R4/patch 18 for my SPARCstation330 with CG9/gp2 colour board under SunOS 4.1. As the MIT server does not support the CG9, I modified the Xsun server by applying Takahashi Naoto's Version 1.2 diffs (obtained from alw.nih.gov, 128.231.128.251). This upgrade allows the server to run on both the CG8 and CG9. The server works fine under twm, but with XView 2.0 (olwm, cmdtool, etc) I get the following repeated errors: XView warning: xv_rop: can't handle drawables of different depth XView warning: xv_rop: xv_rop_internal failed Under olwm, and starting up with a clock, a cmdtool, and filemgr, everything starts up OK more or less with the following exceptions: -the clock program has no face. -various icon images (wastebasket, cmdtool, etc) blend in to the workspace background, i.e. are not visible. -"drag-and-drop" doesn't work. -probably others but I only tried it with clock, cmdtool, and filemgr. Can any one out there help me? Is anyone else using Takahashi Naoto's MIT server changes with XView? Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated (please send e-mail).
