Just in case you hadn't heard:
Beth Phinney, the Liberal Critic for Disabled Persons,
has announced a "Liberal task Force on the Status of the
Disabled".  Liberal members will travel the country and
listen to concerns.  Phunney is concerned that a recent
report by the federal Standing Committee on Human rights
and the Disabled made six recommendations, but the
government rejected five of them.

"Since the government's response has been called vague,
complacent and patornizing by the national groups, the
Liberal caucus has decided to hold formal hearings to
take the initiatives that the Government refuses to act
upon," commented Ms Phinney.
