Just some info on the "Church of the Nazarene" I was brought up in this denomination and they were an offspring from Wesley but not the Assembly of God being the latter believes in the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues, the Nazarene church does not anymore. They once taught on Holiness too. Women not to cut their hair, no make-up, no fingernail polish, smoking, drinking, dance halls, movies, skirts and not slacks, no jewelry. Some think it strict but they didn't have alot of problems that "todays" churches have in divorces, pre-marital sex, teen-pregnancy, aids, homosexuality, etc... I go to an Apostolic church now and they stress if one has a close relationship with Jesus and consecrates ones' time to prayer, fasting, Bible study, giving of Bible studies that they can lead others to the Lord and have a "determinationto endure" until the end. If we live hard for the Lord it will be easy but if welive easy for the Lord it will be hard! We must put "self" on that cross every day, people must see a change in our lives and an ever growing in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must put on the mind of Christ. We are the only Bible some people will ever see or read! We should do every and any thing with the attitude of: would Jesus do this? say this? be at this place? be with this person? Let's not say that something is just wrong to be wrong but what priority is it? Like what's more important? Watching a tv program or praying? Going fish-ing or going to church? I'm not saying we will be problem free but oh the thingswe go thru because of a lack of prayer! We must have a burden for one another! We must have a burden for those who do not know they have a Saviour to lean on in a time of crises not to leave out the main plan of salvation! Eternity is a long time! I could'nt make it thru one day without the presence of the Lord guiding and comforting me! People are hungry for what we know! We must live it though! God is tired of luke-warm christians who use HIM as cake for a special occasion (time of trouble!) instead of daily bread. Do we really love HIM? Do we really appreciate all HE has done and continues to do? What is our sacrifice? Will any of you out there consecrate at least an hour a day to prayer? An hour a day of Bible study? If you will or you ALREADY do would you email me a short note to encourage me to do this every day?! I would like to see REVIVAL hit AMERICA & the world too, and I would like to see an ongoing blast of prayer requests hit this network, where we lift one another up in PRAYER! Let's stop all the repeat questions, arguments, doctrine, who's right, who's wrong, etc... and lets just PRAY for God to lead us and protect us from all evil and help us to grow in HIS WISDOM not ours! Let's pray for REVIVAL and the continued defeat of satan. Let's pray for us and our loved ones to come to know God in a greater way, healing, etc... The list is endless! Who will join me in submitting a prayer request? Surely there is someone you know who needs healing, a job, a home, a car, salvation, etc... Thank you all for letting me share my burden. Please don't think either I'm asking for any to compromise what they believe. Let's just in sharing our differences hold love, concern, and prayer first. We need to seek HIS WILL for us first anyway! I love you all and lift you up in prayer! Have a neat testimony (two pages long) I send to those who request it being I don't want to impose on someone but if you want a copy just say so. Just keep Praising HIM! Many Prayers, Barbara <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Barbara Jo Wood, 630 Roth Court, S.E.
