'Impact International', a leading magazin published from London is having some problems. It is about to cease publication in fact. It was issued every fifteen days and was covering the international events affecting the Muslims. It is a primarily subscription based magazine and would require at least 7000 annual subscribers on regular basis to continue on its own strength. There are more than 1.5 million Muslims living in UK alone! However, they could not raise enough subscription for a magazine that was the only leading source of information in English on the Muslim world. We can listen CNN! Who needs a magazine?! You may disagree in some respects with Impact or any other magazine published by Muslims. But I am wandering how muslims may totally agree with CNN so that they can listen, watch and the worst base their ideas about world on the information and comments supplied by them? Let's do something! regards, - Soner yamen@cae.wisc.edu
