The problem is, that this doesn't work. The default ulimit is still 2MB for any user logging in. I also tried to change the default value of ulimit in /etc/conf/mtune - without any change to the behaviour of ulimit. For normal users the solution is easy - I just set the desired ulimit in $HOME/.profile. For programs like uucico, this is not possible.
