The system will be almost certainly be implemented in Prolog, but apart from that I'm not interested in implementational issues yet. I would like to hear about previous experiences in building a deductive database on top of a relational one, in interfacing Prolog with a relational database, and what theoretical framework has been used (conceptual graphs, feature logic, object-oriented paradigms, semantic data models ?). Any suggestion, hint, or reference is most welcome. Please mail them directly to me and I will post a summary.
