It supports 1200 ->through 14,400 bps data transmission using V.32 and V.32bis protocols and ->offers V.42/42bis and MNP error control/data compression. I had an order but cancelled it and just bought a ->USRobotics and a seperate faxmodem for $99 (send only though). -> ->Prometheus software is very slow, but the faxes are of high quality ->greyscales. To add my own swipe, I just spent some time helping someone get one of those silly things to function with unix and found, among other things, that the command for DCD behavior, (&C?) simply doesn't work. We both checked it and the breakout box over real carefully, and it just ain't right. You gotta set the external switch to get a valid DCD. This doesn't speak well of QA IMHO. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Neal Rhodes MNOP Ltd (404)- 972-5430 President Lilburn (atlanta) GA 30247 Fax: 978-4741 emory!mnopltd!neal ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
