Is anyone familiar with playing around in detail with BC++ istreams
(and fstreams)?  I'd like to ask how you get these to work:

ignore()
resetiosflags()
getline()

They seems pretty straightforward, but I'm getting a lot of errors
that say you can't do that from here.
