I'm having a bit of trouble compiling elm 2.3 PL11 for our SGI systems
running IRIX 3.3.1.  It makes nasty remarks when compiling

	cc  -O -I../hdrs    -c elm.c
	uopt: Warning: main: part(s) of procedure have no exit point

and sometimes hangs while reading the mailbox.  Anyone have experience
compiling elm for this machine?
