I am wondering what I have to do to get Minix look at a modem on COM2 as a login. I am using Minix 1.3 and have recompiled it so that the default COM port is COM2 (or /dev/tty2) and in the Minix text it says that for Minix to fork off a login process to another port all I have to do is add another line to the file /etc/ttys. I've done this but nothing seems to work. I have a kermit server program which does work on COM2, but I can't seem to get Minix to fork off a login process for it. What I want to do is be able to log into Minix from a remote modem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, TTYL!
