Message-ID: <1991Apr19.114509.48088@ccvax.ucd.ie> Date: 19 Apr 91 11:45:09 GMT Organization: University College Dublin Lines: 30 I'm having a problem trying to get codepages working on my PC. I want to set up the PC so that I have access to two codepages, and can switch between them using CHCP. I'm using MS-DOS 3.30 on a Mitac 386 with VGA. I've tried two methods. Firstly: nlsfunc c:\country.sys mode con: cp prepare((850,,437) c:\ega.cpi) mode con: cp select=850 keyb us,850,c:\keyboard.sys but the first mode command generates the error message: Codepage operation not supported on this device and the second mode command generates: Invalid number of parameters Secondly, putting the following line in my config.sys: device=c:\display.sys con=(ega,850,2) generates upon reboot the following error message: Code page specified has not been prepared I've tried this on Mitac 286, IBM AT and Compaq 286/LTE with similar results. HELP! Please mail me at : ctwomey@ccvax.ucd.ie Thanks, Colum.
