Whoa - The past week's news has certainly been exciting, but let's not get carried away. From what I've been able to discern, OS/2 2.0 is far from done. Many of the latest features have not yet been integrated into a single package. For last week's demo, several separate systems were used to demonstrate the various new and exciting features because there's not yet a single copy of OS/2 that has them all. First word was that those who attended the NYC presentation were given a copy of OS/2 2.0 to take with them. Then it turned out that the boxes contained a blank manual and the recipients were told to contact their IBM rep for the program (this posted on IBM's Atlanta BBS). If I were a betting man, I'd wager that OS/2 2.0 will ship in 1991 the same way that OS/2 1.3 shipped in 1990, which is to say nominally. Sandy Rockowitz gd.sar@forsythe.stanford.edu
