That bug and many others were found a while ago and are all fixed in CAP 6.0.
You'll want to upgrade to 6.0 for many other fixes and enhancements.
You can get it via annonymous ftp from rutgers.edu (128.6.21.9 -
src/cap60.tar.Z and src/cap60.patches/*).
