However, in order to make it work, kernel patching is required for supporting IPPROTO_RAW & IP_HDRINCL (i.e. to send IP data with IP header included) in SunOS4.0.x and below, and BSD4.y (y<=3) OSs. I would like is it still necessary to patch SunOS4.1 in order run traceroute. In another word, is SunOS4.1 support sending IP data with header using IPPROTO_RAW & IP_HDRINCL?
