I have a decked-out HERO-1 robot with all construction and user manuals.... I'm thinking of letting her go to a home that will pay more attention to her :-) (I've been too darned busy to use it much...) It is a Heath/Zenith product, that has been very popular as a robotics training aid... The HERO has motion detection, ultrasonic ranging (accurate to within an inch), voice synth., 4-axis arm, light detection, 3 wheel drive system, battery charger, etc... It also has a wireless remore controler/programmer that has an RS-232 input... I have used my PC as a programming environment, and program storage area... then I 'upload' the programs through the serial port to the remote, and bingo! Instantly re-programed robot by radio link! Are there any interested parties that might have use for such a system? I have not really considered a price as yet... I guess I'll have to find out what they are selling for new these days and then give a generous discount.... But if anyone is interested, and would like to know more about the HERO, please send me some mail and I'll fill you in on any details... -Mike-
