Hmmm, don't be so terse in your explanation. For instance: How do you determine what version your rom is? (is it written on the chip?) How long is "a while"? I've had my 2088 since mid-87, it hasn't given me much trouble (some, but not much), so I've either missed or haven't paid attention to upgrade notices.
