I compiled it with lattice C 5.10a, using the m3 (030 code) and -O options. Results are that the applesoft emulation is totally 100% true to the apple ][ series, and speed is low. I ran David Ahls old Creative Computing benchmark, in basic and compared it to the old published apple //e results. This benchmark tests both accuracy and speed. On the accuracy part it was EXACTLY the same as the old apple //e computer, not a bad feat since there is a lot of FP math in it. Speed wise is another story: Apple //e runs benchmark in 1 minute 53 seconds Amiga 3000/25-100 emulating an apple //e takes 5 minutes 13 seconds. So it is like a .4 Mhz 65C02 But it works! The A3000/25 runs the same benchmark, in C, in 0.15 seconds, with much greater accuracy. Thanks to Rich Skrenta for the emulator! -Roger UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd ucsd nosc}!crash!pnet01!uzun ARPA: crash!pnet01!uzun@nosc.mil INET: uzun@pnet01.cts.com
