Here's how you move the boulder :

(I suppose you know how to move it past the FIRST pool, using the crane, and
 break it)

You have to activate a BRIDGE, yes, there's a hidden bridge over 2nd pool.

To activate the bridge, you have to switch a lever in the giant-dog room.
Where is it ? 
Climb the rope near the springboard, open door using the appropriate key,
go right: there are 2 levers, one is THE ONE, one is THE BAD ONE, to know it
you have to ask about TRAPS the guy you saved left of the piranas-bridge.
Now you can use the elevator, go up , you should have a lot of bats. 
Now you can find the room alone (further right there is a key to take, and
a treasure chest).
When you'll come back down, you'll see a bridge over the right pool (if 
you did right things by the dog, not so easy ...)
