Is there any preferred block size for each UNIX ? > Haven't tried going the other way, but I *can* read tapes created on my Unix (ICM-3216) system without problems (other than the aforementioned lockups) using Amiga tar and BTNTape 2.0. Interestingly if I slow the operations down (for example "type tape: opt h"), the lockups don't happen and I can see the ASCII portions of the Unix files (e.g. man pages) dumped correctly.
