However, I do not want to debug C++ using a C debugger, >anymore than I want to debug C using an assembly debugger. It's not quite like that at all. Rememeber: C++ is a superset of C, therefore, most all things will be exactly the same. What your C debugger will be at a loss for will be intimate details on stuff like class relationships. We have discussed this with customers and although both they and us are working towards a resolution of the issue, in the interim, they have told us that in most cases, they are not using overwhelingly compilcated classes or not more that 2 levels of inheritance in most cases, and hence they do not consider the situation alarming or unusable, but instead just plain old annoying at times. They also follow up by mentiioning that they feel a few steps ahead of the game even after pros - cons. >Note: Greg said "currently correct." He may get my money yet! Take you time. But in the meantime, on a different subject, there is this here bridge.... ;-) - Greg -- Comeau Computing, 91-34 120th Street, Richmond Hill, NY, 11418 Producers of Comeau C++ Here:attmail.com!csanta!comeau / BIX:comeau / CIS:72331,3421 Voice:718-945-0009 / Fax:718-441-2310
