Its language (ACOS) is similar to BASIC, but is more structured. ProLine's combination of ModemWorks, AmperWorks, Applesoft, and MD-BASIC's ability to put a modern facelift on Applesoft makes ACOS pale in comparison. You get highly structured Applesoft, with all the comforts of a C compiler, optimization, and all the benefits of Applesoft (e.g. loads of numeric and string functions, large multi-dimensional arrays, NO CRASHING, etc.). > problem right now is that it is so new that it lacks some drivers, namely > printer drivers and support for some modems, like my DataLink 2400 > internal. > (Sorry guys, didn't know it would run on a non-GS.) ProLine supports the entire Apple II series and all popular hardware, including the DataLink 2400, USRobotics HSTs, and even Intel's new 9600EX. Unlike GBBS, ProLine is constantly supported with regular FREE updates by its author, at least four times a year. And whenever you have a problem or a question, Morgan Davis is always there to handle your question. I've never seen any other software company treat their customers this good. And since ProLine is a networked BBS, there are hundreds of very knowledgeable sysops that deluge you with assistance when you ask for it. When you look at the big picture, it is clear that ProLine blows away any other choice, bar none. > greg@hoss.unl.edu Ken Techemayer ---- UUCP: crash!pro-sol!kent ARPA: crash!pro-sol!kent@nosc.mil INET: kent@pro-sol.cts.com ProLine: kent@pro-sol
