I now want to read them on my Interactive UNIX system using VPIX. My tape drive is capable of reading this tape. I know this becase under UNIX I can do a: `dd if=/dev/tape of=/tmp/foo` and using `fm` I can see valid file names and data in file /tmp/foo. FYI the tape drive is an Archive 2150S hung off a Adaptec 1542B SCSI HA. Since the tape.exe software does not seem to support this driver/tape configuration I am probably stuck trying to load the tape with `dd` and unscramble the resulting file. Anybody know the format of the data on the tape? Is there any easier way to do this? The first person to mail me a good working solution wins some Swiss Chocolate! Include your Postal Address!
