Message-ID: <7309@mace.cc.purdue.edu> Date: 23 Apr 91 23:13:15 GMT Reply-To: mckay@mace.cc.purdue.edu (Dwight D. Mckay) Organization: Purdue University Lines: 20 I have just started administrating a group of DECstations and have hit what I think should be a simple problem which has me baffled. I have a 3100 which I can login into via rlogin and a non-decwindows console login, but not via the decwindows login. Dxsession drops core. Dbx shows it looping in get_ueopts and then dying. Does this sound familiar to you? Where would you look for problems? I've compared the binaries against a known working machine with rdist -b. I've checked all the device entries I can think of in /dev. I'm used to Suns so I don't know what DEC-specific magic files I should check. Any help would be appreciated. Please send me e-mail and I will post the answer to the problem. Thanks! --Dwight D.
