A bug in revision A left the state of "lowercase lock" indeterminate. That is, the user didn't know what the state was until he hit a key. (Assuming, of course, he had locked lowercase at least once in the past.) With revision E, the state of lowercase lock is preserved only for the duration of the current editting session. Once you've hit ENTER or ON to end the edit, you are back to upper case. The other thing I've noticed is that CLLCD no longer clears the menu line (or maybe 7 FREEZE no longer protects the menu area?) It did on my A ROM machine but doesn't with my E. This means that CLLCD 3 FREEZE is indistinguishable from CLLCD 7 FREEZE with my E ROMs. Maybe I'm overlooking an obscure flag somewhere? Dr. Mark A.
