Message-ID: <7370374@hpfcso.FC.HP.COM> Date: 21 Apr 91 04:52:22 GMT References: Organization: Hewlett-Packard, Fort Collins, CO, USA Lines: 20 /comp.sys.hp/jeff@hpuplca.nsr.hp.com/ | You CAN read PC disks on a series 300 if you're running HPUX. Third party software is available for reading DOS floppies from RMB, also. | You need a 9153C or 9122C HPIB drive and either SoftPC (software PC emulator) | or the DOS Coprocessor (hardware PC card). SoftPC or DOS Coprocessor is only needed if you want to run PC software. | The key software commands are dosls, doscp, etc. Which are standard in the base HP-UX system. | The DOS Coprocessor will only work on the 370, or a 400s setup for DIO cards. The DOS Coprocessor works on any 300 that has a DIO slot to plug it in, if you have the appropriate supporting software. The company that makes PC Elevator for Domain Systems has a version for EISA 400s. I think I saw that they're supporting it with HP-UX also, but check with them.
