Nope, it's a chip with the same frequency allright, but what I meant is that there might be timing-loops in the bios which are not propperly timed anymore because some instructions are executed faster in a V20 v.s. i8088. I don't know which instructions but maybe somebody with the same problems had a clue or - even better - a fix for it. There is also NO problem with the execution of programs or whatever, only the PC <-> keyboard interface seems to fail ocasionaly. And as this is comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware I suspect that there is a multitude of readers with knowledge of that interface who might have an answer or can reason what could be going on. I have to correct someting in behalf of the taiwaneese people, my keyboard is not from thaiwan but from thailand.
