I had a six wire modular connector and figured I could just use it to replace the bad one. I c ut off the old one and replaced it with the new one--making sure to line up the wire colors to match the old one. I pluged it in and it seemed to snap into p lace. However, I still get a 301 keyboard error. I tried another keyboard and it works fine. Therefore, I know it is not a problem with the PC end of the co nnector. I did notice that the connectors were a little bit different. Does t he IBM Transportable require special connectors? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tom Billet Penn State
