Sounds like the BUNDLE BIT got reset somehow. Get a copy of BUNDAID to reset 
these OR DRAG delete the DESKTOP file (it's hidden so you'll need something 
like DISK TOOLS II). Sometimes the WDEF virus does this. B-T-W, even if you 
have a virus "watcher" WDEF sometimes sneaks through.
