In fact, Wordperfect did offer a substantial discount on the Mac version on the basis of having gotten my money for version 4.2, 5.0, etc. I don't think they do this for NeXT-owners, and expect that few people will spend an extra few hundred dollars for Wordperfect on the NeXT if they can do all the editing/typesetting with the bundled Writenow/Emacs/TeX.
