It depends on what you are terming a swap file. The swap file which is only used in 386EM can be disable by the use of a simple paging=no in the SYSTEM.INI. If you are speaking of the TEMP files that windows often creates when printing or swapping out of a dos application in real or standard mode, then you are correct in saying that you cannot tell windows to stop creating these files. They are necessary.
