Subject: Problems with netpathes and files using Umlauts

We experience trouble with filenames and pathnames containing characters
from the extended ascci area. We have lot of files from the non-net days
which now cannot be accessed. This ranges from not recognizing files to
duplicating directory entries (in fact upper and lowercase is discriminated
now for the "foreign" characters!).
Any help is much appreciated -
