Message-ID: <9104231444.AA18229@smaug.physics.mcgill.ca> Date: 23 Apr 91 14:44:17 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 22 Thanks to everyone who responded to my CR(LF) problem. Most suggested solutions involved using `stty sane', surrounded by ^J's if necessary. Unfortunately this did not work..... So in frustration I tried using `stty sane' on a completely normal window -- and it MESSED IT UP! Somehow `stty sane' had become `stty insane', causing all my CR's to act oddly. In short the problem was caused by the shell I was using - and older version of the tcsh. (Thanks to Claude Cantin for pointing out this problem with the older tcsh's). I have now switched to tcsh-5.20.02 and have had no further problems. Thanks again for all the help.
