Under 4.0.3, they were able to run the xnews server (ie., "OpenWindows") on both the color and the overlay planes with openwin -dev /dev/cgfour0 -dev /dev/bwtwo1 Twm would recognize both planes, and one could move between them by moving the cursor off the edge, as expected. Lo and behold, under 4.1.1 the same commandline generates WIN ioctl number 80706728: Device busy Couldn't get base SunWindow giving up. /usr/bin/X11/xinit: Connection refused (errno 61): unable to connect \ to X server Any ideas? MIT X11R4pl18 continues to do the right thing on these machines. Sun has been less than helpful about the problem. datri@convex.com
