Is anyone aware of a switch box that will allow you to connect
a printer to more than one host and have the switch box detect which
host is sending data and connect the printer accordingly?

Supposedly there is such a thing and it detects a certain set of escape
sequences that tells it when data is coming from a host.

Please respond directly to me as I don't get much time to read news these
days, but do manage to read email. I'll summarize to the group if there is an 
interest.
