Message-ID: <1991Apr21.222549.12476@cs.ucla.edu> Date: 21 Apr 91 22:25:49 GMT Sender: usenet@cs.ucla.edu (Mr. News Himself) Organization: UCLA Computer Science Department Lines: 19 Nntp-Posting-Host: oahu.cs.ucla.edu I've heard rumors about a new LaTeX 3.0 for a long time now. Is it really in the works? When is it's approximate release date? I also have a trivial suggestion --- even if art9.sty & art8.sty files are not released, please make article.sty compatible with the possibility of such files. Currently, article.sty assumes a "1" as the first character of the font size option, so only font sizes 10 -- 19 are possible for artXX.sty files. I have modified the art10.sty file to make myself an art7, art8 & art9.sty, but I also had to modify article.sty. This was trivial, but, of course non-portable. Since it is so trivial, it would be nice to make this a standard facility for those of us who do such discouraged things as using a 9 point print size. Thank you.
