Message-ID: <1991Apr19.220748.18687@hawkmoon.MN.ORG> Keywords: vp/ix ESIX 5.3.2-D Organization: Home System (One of the Eternal Champions); Eagan, MN, 55123-2507, USA Date: Fri, 19 Apr 1991 22:07:48 GMT Lines: 26 [I posted this already to comp.unix.sysv386 and then realized that I should post to this group as well.] I called up interactive today in order to find out pricing and availability info of an upgrade to the latest version of vp/ix from the 1.1.1 release that I have. They told me that the latest release is 1.2. Is this correct? I asked if that version would work under X-windows and they said it would. They couldn't tell me whether or not it would allow me to switch to different virtual consoles whilst running (under a virtual console). They said someone would e-mail me the answer to that question, however. Now, will 1.2 run correctly under Herr Roell's version of X-windows? I will want to upgrade to that as soon as i can scrape the cash together for a decent monitor and card but don't want to have dump the money (about $57) i'm about to spend on the upgrade if it will only work with X11R3. Are there any gotchas of which i should be aware before i send them a check?? Any hints, advice, and caveats appreciated, derek -- Derek "Tigger" Terveer det@hawkmoon.MN.ORG -- U of MN Women's Lax I am the way and the truth and the light, I know all the answers; don't need your advice. -- "I am the way and the truth and the light" -- The Legendary Pink Dots
