What I am currently mulling over is adding some code which basically writes the termcap entry generated to a file, sets TERMINFO to the screen socket directory, invokes captoinfo on the written termcap entity, invokes tic on the resulting terminfo file and continues on from there. The problem of course is the 'sets TERMINFO to the screen socket directory' step . I dont know if I can set the environment variable for the current process. Sigh - boy, TERMCAP was easier to deal with when dynamically generating info... -- Larry W.
